Holiday Selection at Sacred Pages

Sacred Pages Bookstore at St. Stephen has a great selection of items that will make gift giving easy:

  • Jewelry
  • Graduation Gifts
  • Books
  • Coffee/Hot Cocoa/Chocolate

If you have a particular book in mind and don't see it in the bookstore, ask our staff to see if the book can be ordered for you. Don't forget to check out the selection of books, jewelry, stained glass, coffee, chocolate bars and hot cocoa.

The St. Stephen bookstore is located in the south side of the Narthex. This exciting ministry was initially introduced in early 2006 when St. Stephen entered into a partnership with Wellspring Parable Christian Store. Wellspring offers St. Stephen a discount on all books, Bibles and gift items. St. Stephen is then able to sell the items at regular (retail) price, earning additional revenue for the book store to grow its inventory to meet the needs of our congregation.

Lutheran Study Bible
his exciting new Bible features the NRSV translation as well as introductions, notes, and articles written by over sixty Lutheran pastors and teaching theologians. This resource is designed to invite readers to experience the Bible and its message through solid background material, unique Lutheran insights, and opportunities for faith reflection. Reader-friendly, inviting, and engaging, this is the perfect study Bible for both youth and adults who want to encounter Scripture in a fresh and new way!

Study notes are grouped into four categories:
  • The World of the Bible explores the historical, cultural, and geographic background of a particular passage.
  • Biblical Concepts explain key words or themes in the context of other parts of Scripture.
  • Lutheran Perspectives highlight Lutheran theological insights and catechetical connections drawn from particular passages.
  • Faith Reflections provide commentary and questions that encourage life application.
Hardcover: $30.00     Paperback: $22.00

Volunteer Opportunities
St. Stephen's Sacred Pages Bookstore committee has a great volunteer opportunity for individuals who wish to work closely with congregation members in a retail environment. We continue to build a roster of volunteers who will help manage the Sacred Pages Bookstore every Sunday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. If you are interested in being part of the team, please contact Betty Salzsieder at 253-9129 or Julie Wolfe at 971-8568.

The St. Stephen Sacred Pages committee members and book buyers are: Sherry Arntzen, Barb Huey, Karen Huntley, Betty Salzsider, and Julie Wolfe.
